What readers are saying

  • What a powerful account of an epic -- and sincere -- human journey! Beautifully written, searingly honest-- this is a gem of a memoir. The author's..."religion," if it can be called that, developed from his own experiences, one of reason and earthly life, of philosophical reflection and considered benevolence, accepting the role of the mind even as it maintains a commitment to God and community.

    James S. Valliant

  • “I was hooked from the first paragraph of this book...Being Jewish, I appreciate the comparisons the author gave between Christian religions and between Christianity and Judaism. I found it to be very informative without being too heady.”

    Dan

  • If you've ever even had a moment of wonder about Biblical inconsistencies, read this! The work is not only a personal journey but points out the many fallacies that exist in the centuries of Christianity...I read this in one Shabbat (Saturday). I couldn't put it down

    K.D.

  • "This book helped me so much! I love the author’s honesty and I identified with his quest to find the truth, as I have been on the same quest myself. This book made a strong impact on me. It is difficult sometimes for us to find our way in this world, but it would seem that the author found the path out of the forest and into the light...The final words of his book brought me to tears and gave me comfort and hope that perhaps, like him, I might find my own way as well."

    Shanna

  • "David has an incredible gift with words and being able to write in a way that you feel like you are there. His life story is very relatable…"

    Salena

“Know! A person walks in life on a very narrow bridge. The most important thing is not to be afraid.”

~ Rebbe Nachman of Breslov

About the founder

Hello! I’m an author, small-business owner, and learning enthusiast. My passion is to help the light bulbs go on! My journey has included being raised in a working-class Roman Catholic family... to becoming a “born-again” Christian... to pastoring a major evangelical denomination... to becoming involved in the Messianic movement to... leaving Christianity and Jesus behind altogether. Here is where I share my journey that led to conversion to Judaism and learning whether the grass is really greener on the other side.
